November 9, 2016 – Rise Broadband, the country’s largest fixed wireless provider of internet and digital phone service, has acquired the wireless broadband (internet) operations of Telebeep Wireless, a Norfolk, Nebraska-based internet company.
On October 1, Rise began delivering internet access and expanded services to Telebeep’s residential and business customers in more than 35 rural communities through 10 counties; covering more than 5,000 square miles in the harder-to-reach rural areas in Northeast and North Central Nebraska. Telebeep will continue to offer paging and two-way radio on a commercial basis.
“We welcome all Telebeep customers to the Rise family and assure them they have continued, seamless Internet service,” said Jeff Kohler, Rise’s Co-founder and Chief Development Officer. “Additionally, we will be making improvements to the network to increase both speed and capacity in order to provide better access to the enhanced information, entertainment and education people desire.”
Along with serving the areas surrounding Norfolk, Rise has recently expanded its existing network in the adjacent Columbus community.
The company also offers DISH and Direct TV as well as PC Care; a one-stop resource for residential tech assistance, tune-ups and maintenance for PCs/Macs, mobile device configuration, streaming support and equipment troubleshooting.
